Position Description

Job Title: Technical Program Manager
Reports To: Director of Program Management
Location: Bellevue, WA

Summary of Functions:

SinglePoint is an exciting, fast paced company who is the industry leader in the rapidly growing mobile interactive TV space. SinglePoint is focused on providing a high degree of customer satisfaction to our Media customers and looking to bring on candidates who are equally excited to part of a team.

The Technical Program Manager position will accept ownership related technical areas and overall responsibility for Carrier and Content Provider integration projects with SinglePoint products and services implementations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Take ownership of product and service technology areas of expertise for implementing interfaces to our messaging platforms with Carrier or Partner messaging and data networks. Develop and communicate product and service deliverables. Drive product delivery with status reports, schedule tracking, meeting minutes and action items. Interact and establish internal technical relationships with Account Management, Development, Systems and Network Engineering, Production Support and Product Development teams.

Drive multiple product and service deliverables from scoping, requirements, specification through implementation and launch. Create and/or review functional specifications that will be used in making decisions as to how the product or service will be implemented. Develop relationships with carriers, content providers, partners and vendors and provide them with technical information to meet their deliverables. Organize cross functional activities ensuring completion of the product or service based on contracts and schedules. Manage multiple product and service projects and oversee others depending on experience.

Indirectly manage diverse cross functional teams of technical professionals; Monitor risks / issues and their mitigation / resolution; and manage stakeholder relationships with Account Management. Facilitate product design and planning meetings. Communicate both upward and across project teams. Translate customer requirements and product functionality into product features. Prioritize and deliver on those features, working closely with key technical resources, such as Engineering, QA, Documentation, Operations, and Customer Care. Ensure that the products SinglePoint produces will meet the customer and user's needs.

Candidate Qualifications:

Required

  • Excellent knowledge of wireless industry with an emphasis in messaging is required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years project/program management experience and 5-10 years of industry experience.
  • Ability to work across multiple groups with marketing and sales to help define customer requirements.
  • Strong organization, excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in fast paced, fast growing environment and manage multiple complex integration projects at the same time.
  • Ability to be forward thinking, identify and anticipate potential issues and road blocks
  • Problem solving skills, flexible and have the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Must possess the ability to build partnerships and influence others to meet objectives.
  • Ability and desire to work as a part of a team of other highly skilled people as well as independently.
  • Knowledge of mobile content delivery – WAP and binary delivery.
  • Knowledge of mobile content messaging applications for SMS and MMS alerts, voting and polling.
  • Bachelors Degree (preferred) or relevant experience.
  • Understanding of various CDR billing formats and APIs.
  • Understanding of user provisioning interface concepts and challenges.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of cellular telecommunication systems and architectures for CDMA, GSM and iDen networks.
  • Knowledge of cellular telecommunication data networks GPRS, 1xRTT, WCDMA, EDGE, EVDO and UMTS.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructures for mobile data networks - IP and SS7.
  • Understanding of SMS, MMS and WAP system infrastructures.
  • Understanding of mobile messaging protocols - SNPP, SMPP, TAP, SMTP and WAP.
